At River of Hope, we believe that "church" is about so much more than a series of Sunday meetings. We believe that it is the responsibility of all Christians to take a message of hope outside the four walls of the sanctuary to those who are hurting and in need. This message of hope is that EVERYONE, without respect of creed, color, nationality, financial status or past issues, can have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, His Son. Having a relationship with God is not only Eternal life when you die, but it's also about experiencing the abundant life (John 10:10) that God has for everyone while they are still here on earth. In Ephesians 2, we read that we have been "made to sit in heavenly places!"

We are called not just to be believers in Christ, but also followers of Him as well. When God came to Earth, He needed a body to carry out His work here, so He came in the form of a man, Jesus Christ and was led by the Holy Spirit. While here, Jesus went about doing good and healing the sick and oppressed of the devil. Before Jesus ascent back to Heaven, He gave some very specific instructions of what His people are supposed to do until His return. "And He said to them, "Go into ALL the world and preach the gospel (good news) to ALL creation."" (Mark 16:15). Then when He ascended, His Holy Spirit returned to Earth to dwell within His people for the continuation of this work. We are now His body... His hands and His feet. Where He says "Go," we will go! Whether it is to Brazil, Nicaragua, India... or... down the street, next door, to the homeless, the broken, the lost or the hopeless, we will gladly make the journey to share one of the greatest and most powerful love stories ever told. "We are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes..." (Romans 1:16)

While not everyone is physically able to do mission work, there are many ways that you can still be a part of spreading the gospel. One of the most important ways is to commit to being a prayer partner. Prayer warriors are a necessity! We need people praying for safe travels for the mission team, as well as, people praying for God to prepare the hearts of those who we will come in contact with. Financial support is also needed because of the cost associated with the trip such as, travel , purchasing Bibles and teaching materials, costs to hire interpreters, etc.

If you would like to partner with us either by becoming a prayer partner or through financial support or if you would like more information on our mission opportunities, please email Pastor Jason. You may make a financial contribution through our Online Giving link. All donations are tax deductible and processed safely and securely via Paypal. Contributions can also be mailed to River of Hope Church, Attn: Pastor Jason Berry, PO Box 71228, Knoxville, TN 37938.
