Throughout the Bible from Genesis to Revelations, women have played an intregal part in the foundation of our faith. From Deborah, who was appointed as judge over Israel to Ruth who faithfulness is a picture of God's grace in difficult circumstances to Mary the Mother of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The Bible is filled with women who have made a tremendous impact for the Kingdom of God. One name that is most definitely noteworthy is Esther, an orphan, a Jew, whose life was appointed to save a nation! ..."And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such as time as this. -Esther 4:14. In the book of Acts, Chapter 2, verses 16-18, it says: "but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel: 'And it shall be in the last days,' God says, 'That I will pour out my spirit on ALL mankind; And your sons AND YOUR DAUGHTERS shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; Even on my bondslaves, both men AND WOMEN, I will in those days pour forth of my spirit and THEY shall prophesy." Ladies, it is time that we take our places as the women that God has called us to be! It is time that we discover our purpose and gifts of ministry and start boldly walking in those callings, for the upbuilding of the Kingdom of God!
