For many people money is sore subject. For some it is because it seems that on every turn there is someone with their hand out requesting a donation for this charity or that event. For others it is because they are living paycheck to paycheck trying to make every dollar stretch from week to week. In a volatile world economy, their concerns are certainly valid. However, God's economy has never been in trouble. Many people have never been exposed to the Kingdom principal of tithing because some ministries have shied away from the topic of finances for fear of offending some. This is a great injustice because they have robbed their congregation of the blessings that are available when we give to God what is due Him.
The bible teaches in Luke 6:38 "...Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back. " This is the law of seed time and harvest. When we plant a seed, we do not expect to gain another seed, but we expect to gain a whole harvest. When you sow into the ministries at River of Hope, you are planting in fertile ground where you can be confident that you will bountifully receive from God's storehouse of blessings. God said in the book of Micah, "Test me now and see if I won't open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing until it overflows."
All donations to River of Hope will go straight into ministry work. We work very hard to minimize overhead costs so more finances can go toward evangelism and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. No donation is too small to be effective. Just like the widow who was only able to give two mites, her donation was honored most, not because of the amount, but because it was given with a pure heart.
