Through the leadership of our Youth Pastor Kim O'Dell, the Swords Club is a hybrid of Sunday School and a type of "Christian Scouts." The Swords Club meets on Sunday mornings from 10:00am until 10:55am. During that time, the students will explore the Bible through stories and Christian History. They will also examine Bible Truths in relation to what is being taught in most science classes at school. They will learn to memorize scripture through motions and songs, as well as have an opportunity to join the "66 Club" by memorizing all 66 books of the Bible. As the children progress through the various lessons, they have a chance to earn badges for completing lesson objectives such as Evangelism, Creation History, and Scripture Memorization.
The last Sunday of each month is Sunday- Funday where the children are split up into two troops: Girls with Swords & Boys with Swords. On this day, a group leader will teach their troop skills like archery, campfire cooking, teachable spirit, baseball, painting, cake decorating, etc. Not only will your children receive a solid Biblical foundation, but they will have a blast doing it.
