Jason Berry is the Senior Pastor and Co-Founder of River of Hope Church. He has been in the ministry for 26 years and holds a Bachelors degree in Biblical studies from Andersonville Theological Seminary. Pastor Jason has a background in music. He traveled and sang with his family from age 6 to 18. During his senior year in High School, he received the call to preach. Then at age 21, he was asked to pastor his first church. With a Baptist background, Pastor Jason was able to see the importance of evangelism, but was not familiar with the Gifts of the Spirit. God began to stretch him to understand the power, as described in Acts 1:8, that is available to believers through baptism of the Holy Spirit. In October 2007, God led Jason and his wife Angie to start River of Hope.
Pastor Jason delivers messages that are relevant, thought provoking and a word of encouragement to this generation. Through this word, we have seen lives transformed, addictions broken, souls saved, healings in abundance and many have received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. As Pastor Jason ministers, you will hear the cry of his heart to see real change in the lives of believers and to make a difference in the Kingdom of God. The messages are intense and charged with the Power of the Holy Ghost.
Angie Berry is the Co-Pastor and Co-Founder of River of Hope Church. She was blessed to be raised in a Christian home and grew up in the same church as her husband Jason. At the age of 10, she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour. God began instilling in her a deep rooted compassion for people and desire to serve Him. Even then, God was preparing her for the life of ministry that she would share with Jason many years later. With a heart to help others and passion for service, Angie is the perfect complement to Jason's wisdom and experience. In contrast to Jason's power charged messages, God uses Angie to express a softer but unique viewpoint on the scriptures. Together Angie and Jason provide a distinctive voice that proclaims the Gospel in the love that God intended.
At River of Hope, we are truly blessed to have Youth Pastor Kim O'Dell heading our children and teen programs. Kim's passion and zeal for discipling young people is unparalleled. Her desire is to equip our youth with the knowledge and tools necessary for living abundant Christian lives. As a science teacher by trade, Kim focuses on building foundational Biblical truths such as Creation vs. Evolution, as well as Christian History. Kim sincerely loves children and makes them feel welcomed and accepted. No where will you find a person more committed to helping children realize their full potential in Jesus Christ.
