During the summers at River of Hope, we like to shake things up a bit with our Wednesday night classes. We have found that these change-ups not only keep things fresh and new, but they also give our regular teachers a summer break and allow others the opportunity to sow into our children's lives.
Our summer programs have varied from year to year, as we have followed the leading of the Holy Spirit. Some previous programs that we have offered were a Teen lead summer camp complete with team challenges & group Bible studies, as well as a summer of Scripture memorization techniques. One of our most recent Summers of Hope was a church-wide exploration of the exodus of the Children of Israel from Egypt. In order to bring this story to life, we transformed our classrooms tribe tents, had storytelling by "Moses, and had game, snacks, and crafts representative of a day in the life of an Israelite.
